My Lil' Cube

Welcome to My Lil' Cube, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Puyallup, Washington. Located at 402 N Meridian, this charming Japanese restaurant offers a comforting escape, inviting you to immerse yourself in a culinary journey that celebrates the rich flavors and traditions of Japanese cuisine.

What sets My Lil' Cube apart? Its extensive menu features a delightful array of ramen and udon dishes, each thoughtfully crafted to tantalize the taste buds. For instance, the Tonkotsu Corn Ramen, priced at $15.00, showcases a rich pork bone broth that envelops sweet corn, soft boiled egg, fishcake, bamboo, and seaweed, finished with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and green onions. It's a bowl that perfectly balances warmth and flavor, making each spoonful feel like a comforting hug on a chilly day.

For those craving a thicker noodle experience, the Tempura Udon is a must-try. Served in a flavorful konbu dashi broth and garnished with fishcake and green onions, it's accompanied by a tempting selection of assorted vegetables and shrimp tempura, with a vegan option available for $15.0. This dish reflects the restaurant's commitment to inclusivity, ensuring that everyone can enjoy their culinary delights.

Beyond ramen and udon, My Lil' Cube excels in tapas-style offerings that are perfect for sharing. Highlights include the Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) for $7.00—steamed pork dumplings filled with a savory broth that bursts with flavor upon your first bite—and the Scallion Pancakes, a vegan option at $8.00 that perfectly complements any meal.

Customer reviews consistently praise the welcoming atmosphere and friendly service. Renelyn Bangert describes it as "the best ramen place by far," while Angelina Onishchenko highlights the "warm and inviting" ambiance, perfect for enjoying a comforting bowl of ramen. Isidro Martinez emphasizes the team’s exceptional service, noting the "great teamwork" that enhances the dining experience.

As for the ambiance, while the space may be on the smaller side, it radiates warmth and coziness, making it ideal for casual gatherings rather than romantic dinners. The restaurant occasionally experiences a waitlist, a testament to its popularity. But rest assured, the incredible flavors and friendly service are well worth any wait.

In a city filled with dining options, My Lil' Cube stands out as a must-try spot for ramen enthusiasts and casual diners alike. Whether you opt for the deeply satisfying Black Garlic Ramen or indulge in their crispy and delightful Tempura, every dish promises a memorable experience. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the ramen was thoughtfully prepared. Additionally, the fried rice, soup dumplings, and pan fried gyoza were very delicious! I’m so happy to find another delicious spot that features some dim sum and ramen options! Food: The soup dumplings (xiao long bao) had an excellent filling. The broth inside was a little less than I’m used to, but the dish as a whole was great. I really wanted to try the ramen, but wasn’t sure if I’d have room after the dumplings. Then the waitress asked if I’d like to order the kid portion which was a perfect size! Let me just tell you all- there’s a reason this place is known for their black garlic ramen. It had a depth of flavor that makes for a great bowl. Finally- I’m a sucker for scallion pancakes, so I ordered some to-go as I was wrapping up. 10/10 recommend! Space & Parking: The dining space is on the smaller side, but I didn’t feel cramped at all. There is a small parking lot in front and around the back. Service: Quick, attentive, and kind :)
